Day 1: Yogyakarta

Arrive at any time. Transfer to the hotel and enjoy a welcome dinner.

Day 2: Yogyakarta

Hop on a cycle-rickshaw and explore all the city has to offer, including the Sultan's Palace, markets, and the batik and puppetry workshops of Yogya. Options include shopping or taking in a Wayang Kulit shadow puppet show or a Ramayana dance performance.
Yogyakarta is very walkable, so a stroll around the fascinating bird market is always interesting. If silver is of interest to you, then a trip to Kota Gede to pick up a hand-beaten bowl or some fine filigree is definitely worthwhile. As the home of arts, this really is the place to take in a Wayang (puppet) show or a dance performance, usually based on the Ramayana story.

Day 3: Yogyakarta

Enjoy an excursion to the Buddhist Temple complex of Borobudur, alongside a local guide. In your free time, opt to visit Kraton, an 18th century palace or Taman Sari Water Castle.

Day 4: Yogyakarta/Surakarta

Visit Prambanan, the largest Hindu temple complex in Java. Continue on to Surakarta, where we visit the Mangkunegaran Palace for a traditional dance class and enjoy afternoon tea.
Solo, also known as Surakarta, was selected by Pakubuwono II as the new capital of the Mataram Kingdom following the sacking of Kartasura in 1745. Ranking alongside Yogyakarta at the heart of Javanese culture, Solo boasts Kraton Surakarta, the magnificent 18th century palace and museum of the Royal Family, as well as producing some of the finest Batik in Java.

Day 5: Surakarta

Take an excursion to the slopes of Mount Lawu including a visit to the Candi Cetho and Candi Sukuh Temples. Opt to visit the Batik Museum.

Day 6: Surakarta/Malang

Jump on a train and journey to the colonial city of Malang. Enjoy free time to visit local parks, markets, or temples.

Day 7: Malang

Take a scenic excursion to Bromo Tengger Semeru National Park by jeep to catch the sunrise. We then ascend to the top of Mt Bromo, part of the Tengger Caldera, the largest volcanic range in the area. Later, visit the volcanology office at Mt Bromo and meet with one of the experts who will explain how they monitor the volcano and discuss the 2010 eruption.

Day 8: Malang/Ubud

Catch a flight and transfer to Ubud, the cultural and artistic heart of Bali and our base for the next three nights.
You'll be inspired by the laid back way of life, the beauty, and the scenic splendour that is Ubud. Get to know the town on an orientation walk provided by our CEO.

Day 9: Ubud

Enjoy a cooking class with a local chef who will accompany us to the morning markets and a visit to a rice field, helping us learn about the staples of Balinese cooking. We will later gather at our chef's home, where we'll learn how to make a traditional offering, followed by a lively cooking class and lunch. We can enjoy our afternoon at leisure.
Free time today allows us to opt to enjoy a display of traditional Kecak dance or maybe roam the Gianyar night market for some local cuisine. Other options include strolling through the rice fields, devouring delicious organic foods, or white water rafting.

Day 10: Ubud/Sanur

Explore the spiritual side of Bali, following mountain roads through the jungle to visit Tirta Empul Temple, its bubbling springs believed to hold curative powers. Continue to Gunung Kawi, a Hindu temple complex surrounded by terraced rice fields. Eventually make your way to Kintamani, perched 1500m (4921 ft) above sea level on the edge of a crater overlooking Lake Batur, with active Mount Batur towering above. Arrive in Sanur this evening.

Day 11: Sanur

Explore Sanur and enjoy a visit to the southern beaches of Dream Land and Padang Padang and the clifftop Uluwatu Temple. This evening, opt to join our CEO for a farewell dinner at Pecatu Hill, overlooking the lights of Kuta and the largest Vishnu Statue in the world.
