Start early today (approximately 2:30am) for a pre-dawn trek across the “sea of sand” to watch the sunrise over the crater's rim, popular with both tourists and the local Buddhist Tenggerese, who can be seen giving offerings of food to receive blessings from the Supreme God Hyang Widi Wasa.

Day 26: Senggigi/Gili Trawangan (1B)

Drive to Senaru. Later, make your way to a secluded waterfall with time for a quick swim.

Drive to the coast and hop a ferry to Gili and settle in for a few days on the islands. The Gilis are paradise incarnate with a tiny population, no cars, and gorgeous white-sand beaches.

Additional Notes:
Please note there is limited fresh water available on the Gilis and electricity is supplied by generators. Showers use salt water and rooms are typically fan-cooled (no air conditioning).
