Day 1-2: Seattle - Vancouver

Head straight across the border into Canada, where Vancouver boasts outstanding views with its stunning combination of mountains and coastline. Rent rollerblades or take to two wheels to explore Stanley Park, then head over to Prospect Point for the best views in town. For a walk with a difference, check out the stunning Capilano Suspension Bridge, 140 metres long and suspended 70 metres above the river. Later, why not head over to Gastown with its award-winning galleries and tons of cafes and restaurants?

Day 3: Wells Gray Provincial Park

Leave Vancouver and head for Wells Gray Provincial Park; don’t be fooled by the fact it doesn’t have national park status, this place definitely delivers the goods! Wells Gray is seriously stunning and no Canadian road trip would be complete without a visit. Experience the incredible vistas with high mountains, deep canyons, volcanic cones and old-growth forests. Make the most of the silence and peace before you hike to the thundering Helmcken Falls, a 141 metre waterfall on the Murtle River, one of dozens of stunning waterfalls in the park. Tonight you'll rest your head in an authentic guest ranch where you can get to know your fellow Trekkers beside the roaring campfire, swapping stories and feasting on s'mores!

Day 4-5: Jasper National Park

Jasper National Park is a sprawling wilderness and the perfect place to get close to nature without the crowds. Make the most of the great mountain biking trails through some of the most spectacular scenery of the Canadian Rockies. The sharp-eyed may spot wildlife roaming the park, from Grizzlies to caribou.

Day 6: Icefields Parkway - Yoho National Park

The Icefields Parkway is one of the world's ultimate drives surrounded by incredible scenery from spruce forests to glaciers. You can even choose to walk on an active glacier. Now that's bound to make you feel on top of the world! Next up, you reach Yoho National Park. ‘Yoho’ comes from the Cree word for ‘awe’ and ‘wonder’ and as soon as you start hiking through this incredible place you'll soon see why. Negotiate the rapids of the well-named Kicking Horse River, which offers some of the best white water rafting in the world. The scenery will continue to impress as you come across Takakkaw Falls, falling from the mountains to the valley below. Emerald Lake is up next and we're pretty sure the glacial hues and forest backdrop will leave you speechless - yes it is that beautiful! Visit the Natural Rock Bridge before heading deeper to explore the park and its varied wildlife. This day is definitely full to bursting with pure awesomeness!

Day 7: Lake Louise

As soon as you lay eyes on Lake Louise you'll have no problem understanding why it was given the nickname, the ‘Gem of the Rockies’. The turquoise lake will have you pinching yourself in disbelief that somewhere could be this picture-perfect, but this is no postcard, it's for real! Take a hike along the lakeshore or out to the Plain of Six Glaciers, or jump in a canoe and head out on to the lake for a different perspective of Lake Louise and her oh so beautiful mountain scenery.

Day 8-9: Banff National Park

The snow-capped peaks, glistening glaciers and sweeping vistas of Banff National Park will knock your socks off! Hang out in this friendly town or stretch your legs on the pine-clad hiking trails of Canada's oldest national park. As you explore this immense wilderness keep an eye out for bear, moose and deer that frequent the park. The scenery around here really is epic and as well as seeing it up close and personal on the hiking trails, you can take the aerial gondola up Sulphur Mountain for some sweet views, or even get a bird's-eye perspective on an awesome scenic flight. End the day with an included trip to the local hot springs and soothe those aching muscles, you deserve it!

Day 10-11: Canadian Prairies

Journey from the Rocky Mountains to the flat lands of the Prairies, your chance to see a sparsely populated landscape of endless skies and big open spaces, dotted with hay bales and woven with old country roads. Enjoy an included visit to Dinosaur Provincial Park in the impressive Badlands and learn about Alberta’s rich history of fossil discoveries from the ‘Age of the Dinosaur’. Make sure you check out the awesome small town names around these parts, from Moose Jaw to Medicine Hat and Swift Current. You'll see another side to Canadian life with a unique overnight experience in a trailer park. Kick back, relax or party by the pool. This is definitely an experience like no other!

Day 12: Winnipeg

Welcome to 'The Peg', a city that rises above the Canadian Prairies and at the geographical centre of Canada and North America. Known for friendly locals and rich history, listen out for one of 100 languages spoken here in this cultural melting pot. There's lots to learn and explore in Winnipeg. Visit the Winnipeg Art Gallery, crammed with everything from contemporary Canadian photography to more than 10,000 Inuit sculptures, tapestries and paintings.

Day 13-14: Lake Superior

It's time to explore the Great Lakes of America, starting with the most epic, Lake Superior. Considered the largest freshwater lake in the world by surface area, this lake with its rugged coastline is bound to impress. Jump into a Canadian canoe for an included wilderness adventure! It’s the perfect way to admire the immense beauty of the area.

Day 15-16: Lake Huron

You'll roll along forested ‘Moose Alley’ keeping an eye out for our four-legged friends, before cruising across Lake Huron on the Georgian Bay Ferry. With some stunning sandy beaches along the lakeshore, you’d better have your swimsuit at the ready for a spot of swimming, before finishing the day off with a spectacular sunset and falling asleep under a blanket of stars… perfection!

Day 17: Niagara Falls

It is hard to put into words just how awesome Niagara Falls is, from the immense sound of the falls crashing to the stupendous volume of water that falls every second. As one of North America's greatest attractions, it's only right that you experience it down on the water aboard an included boat tour. Witness the cascades pound, churn and foam right before your eyes. Now that's what you call a front row seat!

Day 18-19: Toronto

As you get ever closer to the East Coast of Canada, you'll start to leave the wild lands behind and have yourself some city adventures. Toronto is up first. The native Hurons called this spot 'Toronto' or 'meeting place' and it still is today, with over 70 nationalities making this a vibrant and multicultural city. Take some time to explore Kensington Market, a huge area where you can find some interesting souvenirs for the folks back home or simply pick up some tasty treats for the road. For a different perspective zip up to the top of the 457 metre high CN Tower for some great (if a little dizzying) views. Rent a bike to explore the city, or catch a ferry to the car-free Toronto Islands and soak up the tranquillity. At night, head to the Distillery District, a huge area devoted to Toronto's finest eateries and drinking establishments, or grab your fellow trekkers and catch a baseball game.

Day 20-21: Montreal

A true cultural mix is next on your agenda in Montreal, the second largest city in Canada. For adventure seekers, you can rip it up across the Lachine Rapids by high-powered jet boat. For the foodies amongst you, Montreal is often referred to as the ‘Cuisine Capital’ and offers great cuisine for you to sink your teeth into. Why not try the local favourite poutine (cheesy curds on thin French fries topped with a thick gravy) or a ‘Rueben’ smoked meat sandwich, which is totally delicious and melts in your mouth? For a different culinary adventure try a trip to O'Noir, for some dining in the dark which will tickle your taste buds. Montrealers are a friendly bunch; they love to party and eat well, so you're in for a real good time with this city stop!

Day 22-23: Quebec City

Patisseries, churches, town squares and French-speaking Quebecers greet you as you enter a city full of European flavour. Visit the dramatic Chateau Frontenac and explore the streets of the Old Town, North America's only surviving walled city which is also a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Make sure you have plenty of memory on your camera as Quebec is one seriously photogenic city.

Day 24: Vermont

It's time to leave French Canada and head south over the border to the wilds of New England. Vermont's picture-perfect scenery will leave you awestruck as you gaze upon rolling green landscapes as far as the eye can see. Long and winding country roads and hiking trails will leave you eager to get out and stretch your legs. Head to Vermont in the fall to see the changing colour of the leaves, it truly is a sight to behold. If you're a fan of craft beers, you're onto a winner in Vermont, so treat yourself!

Day 25: Vermont - New York Area

After enjoying your last night under the stars, you finish your classic road trip in the New York area. This tour is not scheduled to spend any time in New York City so make sure you book a few nights after the tour has finished to explore the sights and sounds of the Big Apple on your own. Hit the top of the Empire State Building or soak up the trendy, laid-back vibe of Greenwich Village before heading home.This tour ends at our gateway hotel at approximately 17:00 hrs. We can book you post-tour accommodation at our gateway hotel if required. If you are planning to fly tonight, please do not book a flight that departs before 21:00 hrs.
