Day 1: Las Vegas

No words that you read here can truly do Las Vegas justice; you simply have to experience it for yourself. It's a world-famous hotspot for wild partying, a forest of flashing neon and pumping music, home of epic roller coasters, and a treasure trove of quality restaurants and massive shops. Your tour starts at 18:00 with a welcome meeting at the hotel bell desk (map in the Trek tips), but in the meantime, soak up Sin City!

Day 2-3: Grand Canyon National Park

Shake off those Vegas hangovers with the open road, as you head for your first look at the Grand Canyon. This is one hole in the ground that you just have to see for yourself - and you'll definitely want to give Mother Nature a well-deserved high five! Active adventurers can hike deep into the canyon on the Bright Angel Trail or check out the aptly named ‘Ooh Aah Point’ on the South Kaibab Trail. Or if you just fancy stretching your legs with an incredible view, the rim trail offers stunning scenery and excellent photo ops. At sunset or sunrise, the views are particularly special and will leave you breathless!

Day 4: Monument Valley

More red rock vistas are on the agenda, with Monument Valley your next stop! You'll no doubt have seen a million photographs of this stunning place, but there's nothing quite like seeing it with your own two eyes. Towering buttes and mesas can be seen for miles and set against the red desert, they really are striking. Immerse yourself in the native culture on an included guided jeep tour of the Navajo Reservation and backroads, hear your hosts speak in their native tongue and be blown away by their hospitality.

Day 5: Santa Fe

How does 325 days of sunshine per year plus some of the best Mexican food in the USA sound? Say hello to Santa Fe! Art lovers will rejoice in this creative city, where you can visit Canyon Road, home to art galleries, cultural treasures such as hand-woven Navajo rugs, historic adobe buildings and a vibrant restaurant scene. Make sure you grab yourself a burrito at Bumble Bee’s and head on out in the evening to sample some of the Santa Fe nightlife.

Day 6: Amarillo

Get arty at Texas talking point Cadillac Ranch – where you’ll find a line of Cadillacs half buried in the desert sands. Don’t worry – it’s art! Grab a can of spray paint and make your mark on this famous installation, before heading back on the road to experience real Texan countryside.

Day 7-8: Austin

Famous for its live music and quirky charms, take some time getting to know the state capital of Texas. Discover why locals ‘Keep Austin Weird’ in the coffee shops, eccentric stores, restaurants, food trucks, trailers and festivals of South Congress district.

Day 9-10: New Orleans

This jazz-tastic town moves at its own pace and you'll find yourself embracing the laid-back vibes in no time. Music fills the air in New Orleans and you can't leave without spending an evening on Bourbon Street, legendary for its nightlife, or Frenchmen Street, famous for cool live music. For a really authentic Southern experience check out a `Voodoo and Graveyard' tour or brush up on your cooking skills at the New Orleans Cooking School so you can learn to make yourself a big ole' bowl of gumbo!

Day 11-12: Memphis

Welcome to the birthplace of blues and rock 'n' roll! Make a pilgrimage to America's second-most visited private home after the White House, Elvis Presley's Graceland mansion, for a tour of his home and loads of other interesting exhibits. Sun Studio is another must for music fans as you walk in the footsteps of some true musical greats. And of course, no trip to Memphis is complete without a stroll down Beale Street, where lively music pours out of every neon-signed door in sight. Day 13-14: Nashville

With some awesome musical cities behind you, your toes will already be tapping as you arrive in 'Music City' itself. Now's the time to don your denim, grab a cowboy hat and learn how to line dance at the Wild Horse Saloon, or get your history fix at the Country Music Hall of Fame and Museum, home to the largest collection of country music in the world. Nashville is famous for its fine music and even finer food, so try the local specialities including Hot Chicken and BBQ ribs.

Day 18: New York City

On your final day, make your way to the city that never sleeps and say hello to the Big Apple! Your tour may be coming to an end, but why not book up some extra nights to explore Times Square, hip Brooklyn, Central Park and see the Statue of Liberty? Finish your day off sampling some of the famous New York street food - the NYC hot dog is one of the best!This tour ends at approximately 17:00.
