Day 1: New Orleans

Be sure to arrive early to spend some time soaking up the magic of New Orleans – there’s plenty to see, do and eat here. Meet your group and tour leader at 18:00, then head out to explore the city. Get to know your fellow travellers over lip-smacking Cajun and creole cuisine, then live it up along the infamous Bourbon Street for a serious party, or Frenchmen Street for live jazz every night of the week.

Meals Included: Meals paid locally

Day 2-3: Austin

Bumper stickers throughout the city read 'Keep Austin Weird'. We don't know about you, but that statement alone makes us eager to explore this city! With its funky charm and iconic musical heritage, you'll have a blast here. Seeing as you're in the 'live music capital of the world', why not check out some live music?

Meals Included: Breakfast (x2) included

Optional Activities:

  • Barton Springs US$4

Day 4: Amarillo

Is this the way to Amarillo? We think it might be! Step into the real Texas with its grasslands, rolling hills and sprawling valleys. Stop at Cadillac Ranch, a famous American roadside attraction with the classic cars half-buried nose-first in the ground. For years, visitors have been rocking up with a spray can and decorating the cars and now it's your turn. This is perfect Instagram material right here! Everything's bigger in Texas, and that includes the Big Texan Steak Ranch along the old Route 66, so bring your appetite.

Meals Included: Breakfast included

Day 5: Santa Fe

With 325 days of sunshine per year plus some of the best Mexican food in the USA, Santa Fe won't disappoint. Art lovers will revel in a visit to Canyon Road - home to art galleries, cultural treasures such as hand-woven Navajo rugs, historic adobe buildings and a vibrant restaurant scene. Head on over to Bumble Bee's for some grade-A Tex-Mex and to sample some of the live music that Santa Fe is known for.

Meals Included: Breakfast included

Day 6: Monument Valley

Red rock vistas are next on the agenda, with Monument Valley your first stop! You'll no doubt have seen a million photographs of this stunning place, but there's nothing quite like seeing it with your own two eyes. Towering buttes and mesas can be seen for miles and set against the red desert, they really are striking. Immerse yourself in the native culture on an included guided MV tour of the Navajo Reservation and backroads, hear your hosts speak in their native tongue and be blown away by their hospitality.

Meals Included: Breakfast included

Day 7-8: Grand Canyon National Park

Next up is a big ole' hole in the ground, that we like to call the mighty Grand Canyon. As you approach the canyon edge you'll struggle to find the words to describe the feeling of standing right in front of one of the world's greatest natural wonders. Once you've finished taking it all in, it's time for some hiking. With various trails around the national park, there's something for every fitness level. If you're looking for a more badass trail, venture down to Plateau Point on the Bright Angel Trail; or if you just want more awesome views but without the hassle of a long hike, head along the West Rim Trail. To really see the Grand Canyon in all its glory, take an optional helicopter flight over and into the canyon. Totally mind-blowing!

Meals Included: Breakfast (x2) included

Optional Activities:

  • Helicopter flight US$254-$284
  • IMAX Theater US$15

Day 9: Las Vegas

On your final day, you’ll roll into ‘Sin City’, a world-famous hotspot for wild partying, a forest of flashing neon and pumping music, home of epic roller coasters, and a treasure trove of quality restaurants and massive shops. Your tour ends at approximately 17:00, and we’d definitely advise booking an extra night (or two) in Vegas so you can experience a nightlife scene unlike any other. If you are planning to fly tonight, please do not book a flight that departs before 21:00.
